Hello sir/madam,

My visa 47a2 expired on june 29, 2021, i left the philippines back to my home contry before it expired which on dec 21, 2020 as i resigned from my job. Unfortunated, i was not able to downgrade my visa before leaving the country. Now, i want to go back and work again in the PH. Will i be able to apply for another working visa type?
Since i missed the visa 47a2 downgrade, will it cause any issue if i apply for a new work visa 47a2?

Response to Request

Good day!

Your FOI request is approved. I enclose a copy of all of the information you requested.

If your 47(a)2 visa is already expired, you will be entering the country as a tourist, and will be subject to the usual requirements for arriving tourists.

Upon arrival, you would need to cancel your ACR I-Card. We have attached a copy of the BI's latest Citizen's Charter, which details the requirements and the procedure for the transaction.

Upon cancellation, you apply for the conversion to a new long-term visa.
