Hi ,I was in a criminal case since December 2014,I was told to hand in my passport to the courthouse, which they received on January 15 they told me my passport would be blocked,after the case was dismissed may 19 2022 they returned my passport on may 27 2022. I don't know what to do I want to leave the Philippines on happy terms,so I can return and visit family and friends,
After being trapped here for 7 and a half years I have no money and a lot of debt

Dear Mark McMahon,

Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated Jul 28, 2022 11:02:56 AM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

You asked  How can you leave the country. 

We advice you to proceed at the BI- Main Office and bring your passport at the Temporary Visitors Section located at the Ground Floor of the BI- Main Office with address at Magallanes Drive, Intramuros Manila, for proper assessment of immigration fees, fines and penalties. 

Once, you updated your stay your stay and paid the necessary overstaying fees you may be allowed to leave the country. 

Documentary requirement for updating of stay/ visa extension may be viewed and downloadable at www.immigration.gov.ph.

If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to www.immigration.gov.ph Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response, and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter.
