Good day.

Provided below is a step by step guide for passengers bound to travel abroad:
•	Check-in with their corresponding airline company;
•	Pay your travel tax;
•	Bureau of Immigration
a)	Primary inspection – Kindly present required documents upon passing the Immigration counter:
i.	Valid DFA-issued passport (at least six months valid);
ii.	Valid and original visa; and
iii.	Onward and return ticket
iv.	Additional documents may be required by the Immigration Officer when deemed necessary
b)	Secondary inspection – passengers shall undergo further assessment when deemed necessary for the purpose of protecting vulnerable victims of human trafficking and illegal recruitment.
•	Ready for boarding
	For further information, you may visit the Bureau’s official website:
          www.immigration.gov.ph.

     It is advisable that all passengers must be at the airport three (3) to four (4) hours prior to their scheduled flight. This is to avoid any inconvenience on their part and to provide ample time for the airport standard operating procedures.

    The Immigration Officers usually ask passengers their purpose of travel with the corresponding requirements for said travel. This includes their itinerary, hotel bookings, proof of financial capability and return ticket, if the travel is for tourist purposes.

    It is strongly advised that passengers comply with the necessary requirements for their purpose of travel. If their travel is for work purposes, they should coordinate and secure necessary documents with the corresponding Government agency. It is also suggested that passengers be familiar with the Guidelines on Departure Formalities for International Bound Passengers which can be accessed in the Bureau's official website.
