May 31, 2022 Dear Rosalia, Greetings! Thank you for your request dated Apr 01, 2022 under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. Your request You asked for modification of surname in your travel record from Anasco to Añasco Response to your request While our aim is to provide information and/or service whenever possible, in this instance we would need for you to personally file and request at BI Main Office. The said request must be filed personally to the BI Main Office by the owner of the information or the duly authorized representative (with Special Power of Attorney), which shall have pertinent documents attached, undergo assessment, evaluation and subject to the final approval/disapproval of the Bureau’s Commissioner. Moreover, Travel Record consist of personal information that is protected under the Data Privacy Act 2012, comprehensive and strict privacy legislation “to protect the fundamental human right of privacy, of communication while ensuring free flow of information to promote innovation and growth.” Should you have any questions, you may contact us at 465-2400 (loc. 444) Your right to request a review If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to the BI Commissioner, JAIME H. MORENTE, Bureau of Immigration, Magallanes Drive, Intramuros, Manila. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response, and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter. We will complete the review and tell you the result within 30 calendar days from the date when we receive your review request.
