Hello! I would like to request a copy of my Travel Record Certificate. My son is a half Japanese but i gave birth in Davao City last Year February 20. I’m an Ofw here in Japan with a 10 months old baby and due to current pandemic I cannot go back to Manila myself to process my request of Travel Record Certificate. I hope you can help me and God Bless.

Response to your request

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance we would need for you to personally file your application or request to the BI Main Office. This is in compliance to the Data Privacy Act 2012, comprehensive and strict privacy legislation “to protect the fundamental human right of privacy, of communication while ensuring free flow of information to promote innovation and growth.” Please be reminded that Travel Record is protected by the Data Privacy Act. Thus, it can only be disclosed to the owner of the information, with Special Power of Attorney if thru authorized representative or with Court Order.

Your right to request a review

If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to BI Commissioner JAIME H. MORENTE, Bureau of Immigration, Magallanes Drive, Intramuros, Manila.
