Thank you for your request dated 17 January 2024 under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. You request: You asked for the deferred departure record of a certain Charlene Reyes Flores with Philippine Passport No. P4866058C. Response to your request: Please be informed that we aim to provide information whenever possible. However, in this case, we are prompted not to share the requested information as it contains personal details. Releasing such information would constitute an unnecessary invasion of a person’s privacy, personal information, or records, which falls under the exceptions provided under Section 4 of the Bureau of Immigration Freedom of Information Manual, stating that: “The following are the exceptions to the right of access to information, as recognized by the Constitution, existing laws, or jurisprudence: xxx 5. Information, documents or records known by reason of official capacity and are deemed as confidential, including those submitted or disclosed by entities of government agencies, tribunals, boards, or officers, in relation to the performance of their functions, or to inquiries or investigation conducted by them in the exercise of their administrative, regulatory or quasi-judicial powers. xxx” Your right to request a review : If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response, by writing to the Office of the Commissioner via xinfo@immigration.gov.ph. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response and should be made within 15 working days from the date when you received this letter. We will complete the review and tell you the result, within 30 working days from the date when we receive your review request. If you are not satisfied with the result of the review, you then have the right to file a Motion for Reconsideration (MR) to the same Appeals and Review Committee within 15 working days from the receipt of the review result. The committee will then answer your MR within 15 working days from the date when we receive your MR.
