Hello! I have a flight to Thailand with my Swiss boyfriend on January 2024. He will be sponsoring me. I would like to know if we need to provide AOSG to avoid being offloaded? If we need it, where should we get the said document? 

I need your response ASAP.

Your Request

You asked for Affidavit of Support and Guarantee.

Response to Request

Your FOI request is approved. I enclosed a copy of the IACAT Revised Guidelines on Departure Formalities for International-Bound Passengers as a reference to the information you requested.

Please note that Affidavit of Support and Undertaking is a required document for sponsored travel and it must be duly authenticated by the Philippine Embassy or Consulate. In cases of a local sponsor traveling with the passenger, a duly notarized Affidavit of Support and Undertaking shall be presented. 

Kindly refer to the attached guidelines for the other necessary documents needed for travel. Immigration Officers refer to these guidelines in the assessment of passengers during departure.

Your right to request a review

If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to Norman G. Tansingco at xinfo@immigration.gov.ph. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response, and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter. We will complete the review and tell you the result within 30 calendar days from the date when we receive your review request.

If you are not satisfied with the result of the review, you then have the right to appeal to the Office of the President under Administrative Order No. 22 (s. 2011).
