Dear Rolando,

Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated Feb 21, 2018 under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

Your request

You asked for Hectares of ricefield per municipality and list of farmers of province of tarlac.

Response to your request

We were able to determine that this particular information is already available online and therefore cannot be counted as a valid FOI request.

For your questions about the hectares and master list of rice farmers per municipality, you can access the hectares planted with specific crops thru farmersguidemap.gov.ph

If your research is about population of rice farmers for Tarlac province, it will be better if you will send a request to Philippine Statistics Authority as they are the right agency with statistics concerns. Currently, Bureau of Agricultural Statistics is under their mandate

As per master list of rice farmers, DA have a program on Juan Magsasaka and Juan Mangingisda Intervention Monitoring ID which contains all teh data base of rice farmers per region. However, only the BFAR has the access on the database. You can write a letter address to Secretary Pinol.

Your right to request a review

If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to the department Secretary. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response, and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter. We will complete the review and tell you the result within 30 calendar days from the date when we receive your review request.

If you are not satisfied with the result of the review, you then have the right to appeal to the Office of the President under Administrative Order No. 22 (s. 2011).

Thank you.

Respectfully,
Kristel Merle
FOI Officer
