Agricultural Land Area of Central Luzon (Region III Regional profile)
Ang Gitnang Luzon ay isang kumbinasyon ng matatayog na kabundukan, mga patay at aktibong bulkan, luntiang bukirin, at natural na daungan ng dagat. Isa ito sa mga nangungunang rehiyon ng paglago sa Pilipinas, na may estratehikong lokasyon sa gitna ng Asya.
May lawak itong 2,201,463 na ektarya ay binubuo ito ng pitong lalawigan, 12 siyudad, at 118 bayan. Ang pitong lalawigan nito ay ang Aurora, Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Tarlac and Zambales.
Sa kabuuan ay umaabot sa 552,104 na ektarya ang kabuuang agricultural land area ng rehiyon na nakalaan sa pagtatanim ng palay, mais at iba’t-ibang gulay at pananim.
Isa ang Gitnang Luzon sa may pinaka maraming natural resources dahil maliban sa malawak na kapatagan ay magroon ding mga baybayin at bulubundukin sa rehiyon.
