Dear Mr. John Guiller Tutor,

Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated Jan31, 2020 02:03 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

You asked for the following information:

1.	Annual reports of life insurance companies in Davao City; and
2.	Financial statement of life insurance companies in Davao City (including investment capital, investment income, management expenses and net premium earned).

Please be informed that life insurance companies are NOT required to submit corporate annual reports to the Insurance Commission. As such, we advise you to directly course your request to the respective companies concerned. However, in order to still assist you with this, we have gathered links to these annual reports, which you can already download.

As regards your second request for financial statements, we are also pleased to send you reference links to life insurance companies’ official websites in order for you to easily access the data. Most of these references can be found in the Corporate Governance section of their respective web pages. In case the financial statements are NOT available online (in the case of 3 companies), kindly proceed to the Insurance Commission Head Office at 1071 United Nations Avenue, Manila, along with your formal letter of request and prepare for payment of photocopying services (i.e., PhP10.00 per page) pursuant to IC Circular Letter No. 2014-15 dated 15 May 2014.

We have attached a copy of a message from our Life/MBAs/Trust Division with clickable links to information available at the websites of concerned regulated entities. We understand that the same has been sent to your email  on 10 February 2020 by Mr. Carlo F. Garcia, IC Supervising Insurance Specialist of the division.

If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to te.espejon@insurance.gov.ph. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response, and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter. We will complete the review and tell you the result within 30 calendar days from the date when we receive your review request.

If you are not satisfied with the result of the review, you then have the right to appeal to the Office of the President under Administrative Order No. 22 (s. 2011).
