I would like to request for the annual number of policies, total sum insured and total gross premiums for the companies that sell property, engineering, marine, casualty and personal accident insurance in the Philippines for 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019.

Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated Oct 06, 2020 01:56:46 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

You asked for Number of Policies, Total Sum Insured & Total Gross Premium for Companies selling Non-life Insurance.

Your FOI request is approved. We enclosed a copy of annual data from 2015 to 2019 based on the number of policies, gross premium written and net risk written, which are hereby released exclusively for purposes related to your research. It must be noted the 2018 and 2019 data are obtained from the Quarterly Reports on Selected Financial Statistics. The said reports are considered part of unaudited financial statements, which are still unofficial and unverified, consistent with Insurance Commission Circular Letter No. 2018-37 dated 05 July 2018.
