Dear Jan Jonel Coronado,
I refer to my letter of Nov 28, 2021 03:56:23 PM about your request under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch, for The Number of Insured Within the Age of 15-30 years old.

Your Request
You asked for The Number of Insured Within the Age of 15-30 years old.
Response to Request
In relation to your request, please be informed of the following:
1. Number of insured between 15-30 years old - The Insurance Commission does not have data on the age of insured individuals. However, figures regarding number of insured may be accessed through the Key Data posted on the IC website (https://www.insurance.gov.ph/statistics/key-data/ ). On page 1 of the document, the Life Insurance Coverage represents the percentage of the population with insurance. For reference, the population can also be found on the same page.
2. Number of insured young professionals - The agency does not have demographic data on the insured.
3. Insurance Penetration from 2012 to 2021 - the Key Data also has figures regarding the insurance penetration. For 2020 insurance penetration, requester may access the Insurance Industry Performance Reports as of 31 December using the following link - https://www.insurance.gov.ph/statistics/statistical-report/ . Using the same link, the latest data for 2021 (as of 30 June) may also be downloaded.
Your right to request a review
If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by email at rr.mojica@insurance.gov.ph. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response, and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter. We will complete the review and tell you the result within 30 calendar days from the date when we receive your review request.
If you are not satisfied with the result of the review, you then have the right to appeal to the Office of the President under Administrative Order No. 22 (s. 2011).
