I would like to ask the Liquidation Status of Philippine Prudential Life Insurance.
1. Documents are already file since August 2018 for insurance claim as the company (PPLIC) was placed under liquidation.How long is Liquidation Period?
2. Do we have assurance that we can still receive/claim the money?

Greetings!
Thank you for your request dated May 31, 2020 05:00:47 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.
Please note that the Presidential Communications Office (PCOO) suspended the period to resolve FOI requests due to COVID-19, specifically those new requests made from 13 March 2020 and all those that remained pending until the imposition of Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ), until such time that ECQ is lifted and work in the Executive branch of government attained normalcy. With PCOO FOI Advisory No. 04, s. 2020, processing requests resumed on 01 June 2020 or when GCQ became effective.
Your request concerns the Liquidation Status of Philippine Prudential Life Insurance (PPLIC), specifically about the following:
"1. Documents are already file since August 2018 for insurance claim as the company (PPLIC) was placed under liquidation.How long is Liquidation Period?
2. Do we have assurance that we can still receive/claim the money?"
Please note that the PPLIC was placed under liquidation on 07 February 2018. Policyholders were given until 12 September 2018 to file the following papers to either the Conservatorship, Receivership and Liquidation (CRL) Division of the Insurance Commission or PPLIC's office at the 5th floor, AIC Burgundy Empire Tower, ADB Ave. cor. Garnet and Sapphire Roads, Ortigas Center, Pasig City: policy, proof of payment and two government issued identifications. To inform policy holders, said information was published in the Philippine Star newspaper on 02, 09 and 16 March 2018. Additional information on matters concerning insurance claims from PPLIC could be found in the attached documents marked as Annex "A"
