You asked for The process of applying for a license to sell insurance online.
Your FOI request is approved. Please be informed that the information requested can be found on the website of the Insurance Commission (IC), specifically https://www.insurance.gov.ph/citizens-charter/. You may please refer to page 61 (APPLICATION FOR ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATE OF AUTHORITY OF DOMESTIC INSURANCE COMPANY, PROFESSIONAL REINSURER, BRANCH OFFICE OF FOREIGN INSURANCE COMPANY, PRE-NEED AND HMO COMPANY).
Moreover, may we refer you to IC Circular No. 2014-47 (https://www.insurance.gov.ph/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/CL2014_47.pdf) and IC Circular No. 2018-51 (https://www.insurance.gov.ph/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/CL2018_51.pdf) providing guidelines on obtaining a license to sell insurance.
If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to rr.mojica@insurance.gov.ph. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response, and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter.
