I would like to request for the status  of my claim for  the Liquidation of Philippine Prudential Life Insurance.
I have submitted my claim on May 30, 2018 to the Attn of Atty: Iris Sylva Bonifacio at the PPLIC's office at the 5th floor, AIC Burgundy Empire Tower, ADB Ave. cor. Garnet and Sapphire Roads, Ortigas Center, Pasig City, the document was signed and received on that day by Melody Padilla.
We were initially told that this will take two years. It’s already  more than two years  and I still have not have any sign of my claim.
When can I get my money?
Appreciate your update on this.

Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated Oct 20, 2020 01:01:48 AM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

Your Request

You asked for My  Claim from the  Liquidation of  Philippine Prudential Life Insurance (PPLIC).

Response to Request

May we inform you that concerning the status of the claims against the PPLIC, the Insurance Commission's (IC) Conservatorship, Receivership and Liquidation Division has advised the following:

1. PPLIC is currently in the process of Liquidation with Atty. Iris Sylvia L. Bonifacio as the designated Liquidator. The public was already notified of the liquidation status of the company, through a Notice to the Public that was published in the Philippine Star newspaper on 02, 09 and 16 March 2018. 

2. The public was also notified of the PPLIC's assets to be sold in a Notice of Sale published in the Philippine Star on 26 April 2020. The IC shall be posting another Notice when the settlement of claims will start. Meanwhile, the Liquidator is working on liquifying the corporate assets of the company.  

3. For further updates and information, the claimant/policyholder may contact PPLIC through mobile numbers 0917-5777542 and 0966-7261999, as well as email address at philippineprudential@yahoo.com. The office address is 510 5/F AIC Burgundy Empire Tower, ADB Ave. cor. Garnet and Saphire Road, Ortigas Center, Pasig City.

Your right to request a review

If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to Mr. Revelyn Mojica email address rr.mojica@insurance.gov.ph. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response, and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter. We will complete the review and tell you the result within 30 calendar days from the date when we receive your review request.

If you are not satisfied with the result of the review, you then have the right to appeal to the Office of the President under Administrative Order No. 22 (s. 2011).
