I would like to request if you have data about the thickness of the different geological features ( specifically the Taal Tuff and the Quaternary Alluvium deposit) in Batangas City.

Response to your request

Please be informed that this Office had no existing files regarding the above-said request since this Office is not mandated to conduct drilling and relevant undertakings. However, there are published geological maps and published books on geology and mineralization of the Philippines ("Geology of the Philippines" Volumes 1 and 2) which are readily available at the Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB). The approximate thickness of some geologic formations in the said book is available.

You may visit MGB in North Avenue, Diliman, Quezon City. The Public Assistance Desk located at the lobby of the Juanito C. Fernandez Building is ready to serve you.
