I am currently studying Cansibit Pit, San Jose, Sipalay and would like to request:
1.) Reports or investigations made from Cansibit pit during its mining phase and after closure. (i.e. mine tailing spills, toxic water and soil)
2.) Formal documentation of any DENR violations or sanctions (such as but not limited to DENR A.O. No. 96- 40) during Cansibit's mining procedures
3.) If any, Proof of compliance with DENR Administrative Order No. 96- 40 (such as but not limited to the establishment of Mine Rehabilitation fund)

I refer to my letter of May 09, 2023 12:23:35 PM; about your request under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch, for Data on Cansibit Reports & Penalties.
Our response to your request is due on May 30, 2023 12:23:35 PM. Unfortunately, it is taking longer than expected to deal with your request because this Office sent a request to the DENR Central Office on May 1, 2023 for a Clearance prior to the release of your requested information.
I apologize for this delay but have applied for an extension so we could work further on your request. We hope to be able to send you a response once a clearance has been granted by the DENR Central Office.
