Dear Sir/Ma'am,

Good day! We are from PHILGUARANTEE, a GOCC attached agency of the Department of Finance located at the BPI-PHILAM Life Building, 6811 Ayala Avenue, Makati City.

We would want to ask for help in determining where we may purchase/buy kilos of rice imported by our local farmers in the Luzon area that are accredited to your office, in accordance with Administrative Order No. 2's One-Time Grant of Rice Assist to All Government Employees and Workers for Fiscal Year 2022.

Response to your request

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance this Office does not have the information you have requested. NFA is no longer accrediting rice importers since the implementation of RA 11203. Only the Bureau of Plant Industry (BPI) and the Bureau of Customs now issue permits for rice importers, For local rice suppliers, the LGUs issue business permits, but NFA does not anymore. However, you may wish to contact Gerald Glenn F. Panganiban of the BPI at 8525-2987, or resubmit your request addressed to the correct agency on the eFOI portal at foi.gov,ph.

Your right to request a review
