Good Day Ms. Dabon!

Your request is currently being processed however, we would like to request for an extension because the data on NFA rice imports are being collated  on a per province basis. As to private importation, we are also trying to cull your requested data.

As to corn imports, we do not have the requested data. According to the Department of Agriculture, they can request it from PAFMI. Relative to this, kindly send your request to e-FOI portal of DA so they can request the said data to PAFMI.

Your Request

You asked for Trade Statistics for Rice and Corn in Central Visayas.

Response to Request

This pertains to the above subject matter, which we requested for an extension because the data will still be sourced from concerned provinces.

As of todate, we could only provide you with the rice imports under the Minimum Access Volume (MAV) by the private sector from the period 2013-2017  (the attached file contains only data  for the rice imports of the private sector). Based on the available records from our Marketing Department showed that the rice unloaded in Cebu by the private sector were only from the above stated period. Most of the rice imported by the private sector were mostly unloaded at the Port of Manila.

As to the rice imported by NFA that were unloaded and distributed in the Central Visayas are still being consolidated. Given the current workload of our office in Region 7, they are trying to finish the consolidation of the said data the soonest possible time. We will try to send you the consolidated data the soonest by tomorrow. February 1, 2019.
