Hi! I have requested similar information through #NFA-397901772578 and I would like to make a clarification.

May I request for:
1) If Metro Manila is importing rice, how much in tonnes and from which regions per year (from 2000-2019)?
2) If Metro Manila is exporting rice to other regions, how much in tonnes per region per year (from 2000-2019)?
3) Yearly rice production in Metro Manila between 2000 and 2019, if there is any.
4) Are the rice trades through NFA reported in the domestic trade of the Philippine Statistics Authority?

You asked for Rice Trade in Metro Manila.

Response to Request

Your FOI request is partially approved. Here is some of the information you requested

1. 2000 to 2018, info may be provided by NFA-Central office, GRAINS MARKETING OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT (GMOD).
In 2019, due to passage of RA 11203, only private sector imports rice, no monitoring by NFA due to repeal of law giving NFA regulatory function

2. NO. Metro Manila does not export rice to other Regions

3. No rice production within Metro Manila

4. No, NFA does not report domestic trade to PSA

Please note that we are only able to provide some of the information you have requested for as this office does not have that data you request in No.1.
