Hi! I would like to request for information regarding:
1. The number of individuals categorized as underweight in the Philippines from the year 2010-2022
2. The number of individuals categorized as normal weight in the Philippines from the year 2010-2022
3. The number of individuals categorized as overweight in the Philippines from the year 2010-2022
4. The classification of obesity in the Philippines from the year 2010-2022, including:
a. Obesity Class 1 (moderate)
b. Obesity Class 2 (severe)
c. Obesity Class 3 (very severe or morbid obesity)
5. The top 10 most affected cities in the country.

You asked for The number of obesity in the Philippines.

Response to Request

Your FOI request is approved. However, only the nutritional status of 0-59 months old children by city and municipality from 2010 to 2022 is being consolidated by the NNC. You may retrieve the information from our official website https://www.nnc.gov.ph/related-statistics/operation-timbang-result.

For the latest national data of under five children, school children and adolescents, you may access the Nutrition Facts and Figures through http://enutrition.fnri.dost.gov.ph/.

Your right to request a review

If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to Assistant Secretary and Executive Director IV Dr. Azucena M. Dayanghirang at oed@nnc.gov.ph. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response, and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter. We will complete the review and tell you the result within 30 calendar days from the date when we receive your review request.
