May I humbly request for the following data:

a. The number of malnourish children in the Philippines;
b. The number of obese children in the Philippines; and
c. The top most common diseases suffered by the children in the Philippines

Hoping your Office to consider my requests. The data will be used in one of my research assignment in one of my subjects. Thank you very much.

You asked for The number of malnourish & obese children & common diseases in the Philippines presented per region.

Response to Request

Your FOI request is approved. However, only the nutritional status of 0-59 months old by city and municipality from 2010 to 2021 is being consolidated by the NNC. You may retrieve the information from our official website https://www.nnc.gov.ph/related-statistics/operation-timbang-result. Should you need the latest national data for under five, school children and adolescents, you may access the Nutrition Facts and Figures through https://i.fnri.dost.gov.ph/.

For the top most common diseases suffered by the children in the Philippines, please refer to the Department of Health Field Health Service Information System (FHSIS) Annual Reports accessible through this link: https://doh.gov.ph/publications/serials.

Your right to request a review

If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to Assistant Secretary and Executive Director IV Dr. Azucena M.
