Good day! I would like to request information regarding malnutrition in Cavite. Specifically, I would like to obtain data on the following:

1. Number of children who are stunted, wasted, underweight, energy deficient, and micronutrient deficient from 2018-2022.

2. Number of children who are overweight, obese, and at risk of diet-related non-communicable diseases from 2018 to 2022.

3. Top 10 cities/municipalities which has the highest malnutrition case from 2018-2022.

Response to Request

Your FOI request is approved. However, only the nutritional status of children 0-59 months old by city and municipality is being consolidated by the NNC. You may retrieve the information from our official website at https://www.nnc.gov.ph/related-statistics/operation-timbang-result. For your request on the micronutrient deficiencies, please refer to the results of the National Nutrition Survey conducted by the Food and Nutrition Research Institute through http://enutrition.fnri.dost.gov.ph/.

Your right to request a review

If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to Assistant Secretary and Executive Director IV Dr. Azucena M. Dayanghirang at oed@nnc.gov.ph. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response, and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter.
