Good Day! I am Roxette R. Arellano, an undergraduate student of University of the Philippines Mindanao and I would like to request information regarding:

1. The number of reported malnutrition cases in the Philippines from the year 2019-2023.
2. The number of reported malnutrition cases in Region 12, Tacurong City and Brgy. Buenaflor in Tacurong City from the year 2019-2023. 
3. The number of mothers with malnourished children in Brgy. Buenaflor, Tacurong City in year 2022.

The data gathered will be used for my Rationale of my Thesis on health communication.

You asked for The number of reported malnutrition cases in the Philippines, Region 12, and Tacurong City.

Response to Request

Your FOI request is approved. However, only the nutritional status of 0-59 months old children by city and municipality from 2010 to 2021 is being consolidated by the NNC. You may retrieve the information from our official website https://www.nnc.gov.ph/related-statistics/operation-timbang-result. You may also wish to visit or contact the Tacurong City Nutrition Council or resubmit your request addressed to the correct agency on the eFOI portal.

Your right to request a review

If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to Assistant Secretary and Executive Director IV Dr. Azucena M. Dayanghirang at oed@nnc.gov.ph. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response, and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter.
