Good day.
May we request for your help regarding online loan apps and their collection method that include harassment, sending grave threats and demeaning their customers, reference and other people in the phone contact list.
They use vulgar language, threatens your privacy, specifically of using and exposing your private information thru available social media platforms. They could be more humane and considerate in the manner of their collection process especially for those who are coordinating with them and specially for those who are going through great ordeals.

You seek help due to alleged unauthorized access, harassment, and death threats of an online lending app.

Response to your request

While we aim to provide information whenever possible, in this instance, your inquiry is not a valid FOI request. Complaints and request for clarification on data privacy or data protection should be responded to through email reply. 

Nonetheless, to assist you with your concern, we have forwarded your inquiry, name, and email address to our Public Information and Assistance Division (info@privacy.gov.ph) for the drafting of response.

You may expect our written response within 3-7 working days. However, if the concerned office determines that this may be a subject of an advisory opinion, the same will be released to you not later than 20 working days, unless the complexity and novelty of the subject matter require a longer period of time for further evaluation. 

Your right to request a review

If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to Privacy Commissioner and Chairman John Henry Du Naga at info@privacy.gov.ph. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date you received this letter.
