Hi, I would to request for an investigation regarding Online Lending Company that are illegally operating and collecting payments kahit wala ka namang utang sa kanila.

Ang Pesopop po ay araw-araw nagti-text at tumatawag sa mga contacts sa phone ko saying na may unpaid debt daw ako sa kanila. They are spreading false information and trying to destroy my reputation to my friends, officemates and family members.

You seek for help due to unauthorized access, alleged public shaming and harassment of some online lending apps.

Response to your request

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance your inquiry is not a valid FOI request. Complaints and request for clarification on data privacy or data protection should be responded through email reply.

Nonetheless, to assist you with your concern, we have forwarded your inquiry, name, and email address to our Public Information and Assistance Division (info@privacy.gov.ph) for drafting of response.

You may expect our written response within 3-7 working days. However, if the concerned office determined that this may be a subject of an advisory opinion, the same will be release to you not later than 20 working days, unless the complexity and novelty of the subject matter requires a longer period of time for further evaluation.

If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response, by writing to Privacy Commissioner and Chairman Raymund E.
