Hello, I would like to complain a ONLINE LENDING APP (CashGO, HopeCash under the company Catcash Investors Lending Corp) who's harrasing, bullying, shaming and violating my privacy by using my contact list. 

They access my contact list without my consent and it is a violation of privacy and sending messages or calling all in my contacts that I owe them money.  It is clearly a violation of PRIVACY.


I do hope for several actions on this app.

You mentioned that you would like to file a complaint against Online Lending Apps.

Response to your request

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance your inquiry is not a valid FOI request. Complaints and request for clarification on data privacy or data protection should be responded through email reply.

Nonetheless, to assist you with your concern, we have forwarded your inquiry, name, and email address to our Public Information and Assistance Division (info@privacy.gov.ph) for drafting of response.

You may expect our written response within 3-7 working days. However, if the concerned office determined that this may be a subject of an advisory opinion, the same will be release to you not later than 20 working days, unless the complexity and novelty of the subject matter requires a longer period of time for further evaluation.

Your right to request a review

If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response, by writing to Privacy Commissioner and Chairman Raymund E. Liboro at info@privacy.gov.ph. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response, and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter. We will complete the review and tell you the result, within 30 calendar days from the date when we receive your review request.
