Dear Ms. Kathy Darza,

Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated Feb 11, 2019 12:55:03 AM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

Your Request

You asked for 1) purpose or law to publish in OG 2) list of published land proclamations/executive orders of CEBU.

Response to Request

Your FOI request is partially approved. Per Article 2 of Republic Act No. 386 dated 18 June 1949, Laws shall take effect after fifteen (15) days following the completion of their publication in the Official Gazette. Executive Order No. 200 s. 1987 likewise state the provision, Providing for the Publication of Laws either in the Official Gazette or in a Newspaper of General Circulation in the Philippines as a Requirement for their Effectivity.

As to the list of Land Proclamation and Executive Orders of CEBU from 1904 to present, please be informed that the National Printing Office (NPO) has no database for such. Note that NPO only have OG Books from 1949 to present. We suggest that you may want to do a physical research at our OG Library to help you with the information you need. Should you need guidance in this undertaking, we would be glad to provide assistance in the course of your research.

Please note that we are only able to provide some of the information you have requested for as <e.g. legal basis for publication in the Official Gazette but not the requested list since NPO has no database for such>.
