Reactivation of Phone IMEI

Requested from NTC by C. Ramos at 03:53 PM on Jul 13, 2022.
Purpose: Research & Personal
Date of Coverage: 06/01/2022 - 07/13/2022
Tracking no: #NTC-032983590401

Ramos 03:53 PM, Jul 13, 2022

Is reactivation of blocked IMEI possible if owner is able to recover stolen phone? If yes, would like to request for process/requirements and typical timeline for processing. Thank you.

Ramos 10:30 PM, Jul 13, 2022

As follow-up, should the thief choose to cannibalize the phone unit & sell the parts separately, would blocking IMEI also prevent use of the parts? Or IMEI blocking only works for the assembled/full phone unit?
