Good day, I wish to request for a copy of the Statement/Letter by the Office of the Solicitor General dated 30 Apr 2020 and sent to the National Telecommunications Communication which advised them against issuing a provisional authority to ABS-CBN.

Thank you for your request dated May 28, 2020 under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

You asked for Statement/Letter by the OSG to NTC.

Response to your request

We were able to determine that this particular information is already available online and therefore cannot be counted as a valid FOI request. See inventory of exceptions to EO no. 2, requested document is a privileged communication for having been issued by the OSG as NTC's statutory counsel.  It is thus, covered by the lawyer-client privilege.

Your right to request a review

If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to Office of the Solicitor General, 134 Amorsolo ST., Legaspi Village, Makati. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response, and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter.
