Hello, I was curious as to who or what department assigns the cases to a particular member of your team? Is there a supervisor of team leader who says associate 1 this is your case, number 2 yours is this Cotabato case and vice versa? Is it being raffled? What or is there a certain criteria that is used to select the best associate to handle the case? I 'm just curious and please send my best regards to the boss (Calida) its a fine job he's doing, or better yet, you are all doing excellent work. Thank you

Dear Carlos Beltran,

Greetings!

Your Request

You asked for Re: case assignments.

Response to Request

When a case is received by the Office, the Docket Management Service gives a docket number for the said case. Then it is forwarded to the Solicitor General's Office (Secretariat) for assignment to a Legal Division. The head of the Legal Division (Assistant Solicitor General), then, assigns the case to a lawyer of the Office.

We hope that we have satisfactorily and completely addressed your request.

Please accept our apologies for not being able to reply earlier to your request.
