Your Request
You asked for an update on the status of your case for Declaration of Nullity of Marriage (RTC Civil Case No. N-8814; CA-G.R. CV No. 114218).
Response to Request
Please be informed that the RTC-Br. 17, Cavite City in its Decision dated 14 May 2019 granted your Petition and, thus, declared your marriage with Archie Q. Bato NULL and VOID.
On appeal by the Republic (through the Office of the Solicitor General), the Court of Appeals in its Decision dated 31 January 2023 DENIED the Republic's appeal. Hence, the RTC Decision in your favor was affirmed.
In its Resolution dated 1 August 2023, the Court of Appeals denied the Republic's Motion for Reconsideration.
On 18 December 2023, the Court of Appeals issued an Entry of Judgment certifying that the Court of Appeals Decision dated 31 January 2023 denying the Republic's appeal had become final and executory on 27 August 2023.
Accordingly, the RTC Decision dated 14 May 2019 declaring your marriage with Archie Q. Bato NULL and VOID is already FINAL and EXECUTORY.
Attached are copies of the Court of Appeals Decision and Entry of Judgment.
