I would like to inquire on whether taking the college mandatory NSTP-AFROTC is considered a military service? If so, where am I able to acquire a military service discharge form? I would really appreciate for your response. Thank you so much.

Your request

You asked for Inquiry on whether college mandatory NSTP-AFROTC is a military service.

Response to your request

NSTP-ROTC is not military service. For more information, you may proceed to or call your school/ROTC unit/Reserve Center where you finished your ROTC program. Present your authenticated Certificate of Completion to the Admin and Personnel Officer of the unit to retrieve your records and/or the Special/General Orders indicating your Name and AFP reservist serial number.

Your right to request a review

If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to paoafp@gmail.com. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response, and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter. We will complete the review and tell you the result within 30 calendar days from the date when we receive your review request.

If you are not satisfied with the result of the review, you then have the right to appeal to the Office of the President under Administrative Order No. 22 (s. 2011).
