Hi! I would like to request for a copy of my BIR form 2316 from my previous company Sykes Asia Inc.

Coverage year is from 01/27/2020 to 01/07/2020. I have been requesting for this document since I started my job from my new employer and I still haven't receive any response.

Hoping you  could assist me. Thank you.

Dear Ms. Ocfemia,

I refer to my letter of Sep 25, 2021 05:50:00 PM about your request under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch, for Request for Copy of BIR Form 2316.


In order for us to work further on your request, please indicate your employer’s TIN, RDO no., business name & address. and email it at ana.marie.du@bir.gov.ph.

Kindly clarify from your new employer if what they are asking from you is the for 2020 as maybe what they were asking from you is the BIR 2316 for the current year for them to do the year-end adjustment. Your new employer will take into consideration your income from previous employment and your tax liability will be based on your total income for the year.

Furthermore, please be informed that your BIR Form 2316 should have been issued to you by your previous employer, If there is any, as it is mandated by law that every employer shall issue BIR Form No. 2316 to every employee before the close of such calendar year, or on the day on which the last payment of compensation is made.

During the period of us awaiting your reply, your request will be put on hold. If we do not receive a reply on or before Dec 20, 2021 04:00:26 AM, your request will be closed.
