I would like to request for an online copy of my BIR Forms 1905 or 2316. I was employed back then in Citibank ROHQ in BGC Taguig.

Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated Oct 26, 2021, under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

Your request
You asked for BIR 1905 and BIR 2316.

Response to your request
We were able to determine that your request cannot be counted as a valid FOI request as an application for update (BIR Form 1905) is part of the frontline service of the BIR, hence, your request is denied.

Please be informed that your employer is asking you for the BIR Form 2316 for the current year for them to do the year-end adjustment. Your new employer will take into consideration your income from previous employment and your tax liability will be based on your total income for the year. Thus, we would like to advise that you better ask for a copy of your 2316 directly from your employer as they are the main source of such documents. It is also mandated by law that every employer shall issue BIR Form No. 2316 to every employee before the close of such calendar year, or if employment is terminated, on the day on which the last payment of compensation is made.
