Dear Sir/Madam,

Hope you are doing well.

I am writing in through this website to request and hopefully receive a copy of my BIR 2316 form. This is for the purpose of submitting one of the employment requirement for my new employer. Regrettably, my previous employer is not able to provide me with my BIR 2316 because they are not cooperating with my request. I worked from July 2022 to January 2023.


It would be very much appreciated if you can send me a copy via email as my employment is on the line — I have to submit on April 1st.

Your request:

You requested for a copy of your BIR Form 2316 for the year 2022.

Response to your request:

Based on the reason stated below, we resolve to deny your request as to the following information:   Copy of your ITR for the year 2022.

This Office does not have the information you have requested (ITR) since your employer failed to include your BIR Form 2316 in its submission for the year 2022, thus, no copy can be provided.  

For your guidance, please refer to the Revised People's Freedom of Information Manual for the Bureau of Internal Revenue, which is available for download at the Bureau's Official Website or www.bir.gov.ph.
