Hi!

I would like to ask for a copy of my BIR 2316 year 2017. I need it to check how tax information from my previous employer.

Is it also possible to ask for a TIN Verification slip? I downloaded the BIR app and no agents are able to assist. It seems offline everytime.

Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated Sep 30, 2022 under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

Your request

You asked for BIR 2316 for 2017 and TIN verification slip.

Response to your request

Issuance of BIR Form 2316 for the Year 2017 - please be informed that such request cannot be granted by this office since the aforesaid document were issued in 2017 and per record of the Revenue District Office (RDO) on those period are already unavailable since we follow strictly the five (5) - year retention period of the document/s based on existing revenue issuances of the BIR. Kindly refer to Revenue Memorandum Circular (RMC) No. 73-2008.

It will be practical and appropriate for you to refer to your employer (at that time) and ask for the said copies where it actually originated.

On your other request for TIN Verification Slip - We would like to advise you to visit the nearest Revenue District Office (RDO) on your request. Please bring two (2) valid government-issued I.D.s containing the photograph and signature as proof of your identity for validation purpose. Addresses and contact numbers of RDOs can be found in the BIR Website at www.bir.gov.ph homepage/contact us/directory/revenue district offices links. 

If the request is made through representative, a Special Power of Attorney of the requesting party (principal) and at least two (2) valid government IDs containing the photograph and signature of the representative and the principal shall be presented.

Based on your given address in the portal, you may visit RDO No. 83-Talisay, Cebu located at PKC Square Iawaan I, Talisay City, Cebu.

Please be reminded that TIN is considered a piece of sensitive personal information that is bounded by the Data Privacy Act of 2012.
