Good day! I would like to request for an income tax return because I need it for my scholarship application and ITR is one of the requirements.. and I am open to the possible needed compliance for me get this certificate.. thank you!

Dear Ms. Gulfan:

I refer to my letter of May 11, 2023 06:57:48 PM about your request under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch, for Income Tax Return.

In order to identify or locate the requested information, we are seeking for further clarification specifically:

1. Did you have a Registered Business? Or were you an Individual Earning on Purely Compensation Income from the period April - May 2023?

2. Withstanding your answer to the first and second query, did you file an ITR for the cited period?

if you are an Employee for the period April - May 2023, your EMPLOYER is required to issue a copy of your BIR Form 2316 for Calendar Year 2023 (in case your employment with them is terminated) pursuant to Section 2.83.1 of Revenue Regulations No. 02-98, as amended which provides that “The EMPLOYER shall furnish each employee with the original copies of Form No. 2316 xxx.” As proof that your taxes were withheld. This will serve as your Income Tax Return (ITR).

For assistance, kindly email sherry.ann.arcita@bir.gov.ph and indicate in the subject email ticket number #BIR-481519746493, to respond. We also called your mobile number today, however, it was unsuccessful.

During the period of us awaiting your reply, your request will be put on hold. If we do not receive a reply on or before Aug 04, 2023 01:29:14 AM, your request will be closed.
