Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated Sep 08, 2022 under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

Your request

You asked for The number of micro businesses that are BIR registered in Makati City.

Response to your request

In reply, we resolved to deny your request for the following reasons pursuant to Chapter VI -Standard Procedure for FOI Requests of the Revised People's Freedom of Information Manual for the Bureau of Internal Revenue.

1. It lacks purpose/purpose lacks specificity (Section 13.3); and
2. Copy of the valid School I.D and Written Indorsement of the supervising teacher/professor/instructor (Section 13.4 [d]).

We also have four (4) Revenue District Offices (RDOs) located in Makati City, each one of them has their own areas of jurisdiction, taxpayer/company under their own jurisdiction where they submit and files their own reports.

Greetings!

I would like to ask if, with the endorsement letters from our university library and our professor in Accounting Research, we are allowed and be able to collect data from the four RDO here in Makati City.

As part of our study, we need to collect these data to evaluate and determine our possible respondents. All letters are properly addressed to the agencies we are going to. The only question is whether we will be accommodated when we visit their offices. Are the endorsement letters enough for us to collect the information we need?
