Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated May 26, 2021 09:16:15 AM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

Your Request

You asked for Income Tax Return.

Response to Request

After careful consideration, we resolve to grant your request but only up to the compensation and withholding tax information found in the Alphalist of Employees filed by your employer for the years 2009 and 2010.  A certification was made on the information gathered for your purpose, a scanned copy of which was sent thru email.

This Office resolved to provide you a Certification instead of your requested BIR 2316 (ITR) since we do not have the information.  It was only starting 2015 when the employers were required to furnish the BIR with scanned copies of BIR Form No. 2316.  Your employer was not required to submit copies of 2316 certificates during the periods requested. 

However, based on the reason stated below, we resolve to deny your request as to the following information:   Copy of your BIR 2316 (ITR) for the periods 2000-2001 and 2007-2008.

We regret to inform you that your compensation and withholding tax information for the years 2000-2001 and 2007-2008 is not found in our records.

There is also a certain requested information that is still being indorsed to another district office for processing.

A more detailed response was sent to your email.
