I would like to request for a copy of my BIR Form 2316 (TIN: 336-503-371-000). Unfortunately, my files have been corrupted and could not access them through the eBIRforms applications anymore.

Dear Ms. Legarda,
I refer to my letter of Sep 24, 2021 12:53:34 PM about your request under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch, for BIR 2316 - Income Tax Return.
In order for us to work further on your request, we need more information from you regarding your query. In particular, it would be helpful if you could clarify to us what you really want to request, is it your ITR or your 2316.
If you are requesting for your ITR, kindly provide us the following details for us to properly endorse your request to the concerned RDO and email it at ana.marie.du@bir.gov.ph as these are sensitive information:
- What ITR did you file from 2018-2020? Was it 1700 or 1701?
- Where did you file your ITR,
- Tax Return Confirmation Receipt (if your ITR were filed online)
Furthermore, the ITRs that we have in our files are those returns that were filed and paid over-the-counter through our various Accredited Agent Banks; however, for no-payment returns that were filed through our eBIRforms and EFPS system, we do not have the hard copies of these returns on file.
For your 2316, if you have been an employee whose income tax has been correctly withheld, has only one employer and have been qualified for substituted filing for the taxable year 2020, the Certificate of Withholding filed by your employer, duly stamped "Received" by the Bureau, shall be tantamount to the filing of the income tax return. You may request Form 2316 from your employer as it is mandated by law that every employer shall issue BIR Form No. 2316 to every employee before the close of such calendar year, if employment is terminated, on the day on which the last payment of compensation is made.
During the period of us awaiting your reply, your request will be put on hold. If we do not receive a reply on or before Dec 17, 2021 08:02:53 AM, your request will be closed.
