Hi! Good day! I would like to request for an Income tax return because I need to get my tax exemption certificate for my scholarship application and ITR is one of the requirements for tax exemption certificate. Thank you.

Dear Ms. Indoy:

I refer to my letter of Apr 21, 2023 12:05:23 PM about your request under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch, for Income Tax Return and/or BIR Form 2316.

In order to identify or locate the requested information, we are seeking for further clarification specifically:

1. Did you have a Registered Business? Or were you an Individual Earning on Purely Compensation Income?

2.  If Employed, kindly provide the Complete Name of your Employer/s, Employer’s TIN and Employer’s Registered Address?

3. Withstanding your answer to the first and second query, did you file an ITR for the cited period?

As an added note/reference, if you are an Employee for the period January to April 2023, your EMPLOYER is required to issue a copy of your BIR Form 2316 for Calendar Year 2022 to 2023 (in case your employment with the company has been terminated/ended) pursuant to Section 2.83.1 of Revenue Regulations No. 02-98, as amended which provides that “The EMPLOYER shall furnish each employee with the original copies of Form No. 2316 xxx.” As proof that your taxes were withheld. This will serve as your Income Tax Return (ITR).

During the period of us awaiting your reply, your request will be put on hold. If we do not receive a reply on or before Jul 14, 2023 08:54:30 AM, your request will be closed.
