Hi! I would like to request information regarding my Income Tax Return.

Dear Ms. Masong,

I refer to my letter of Sept. 30, 2021, 10:07:55 AM about your request under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch, for BIR 2316.

Kindly clarify from your new employer if what they are asking from you is the ITR for the past years as maybe what they were asking from you is the BIR Form 2316 for the current year for them to do the year-end adjustment. Your new employer will take into consideration your income from previous employment and your tax liability will be based on your total income for the year. However, if they were really requiring you to submit your ITR, kindly indicate your RDO no. for us to properly endorsed your request to the concerned RDO and email at ana.marie.du@bir.gov.ph as these are sensitive information

Furthermore, please be informed that your BIR Form 2316 should have been issued to you by your previous employer, If there is any, as it is mandated by law that every employer shall issue BIR Form No. 2316 to every employee before the close of such calendar year, or on the day on which the last payment of compensation is made

During the period of us awaiting your reply, your request will be put on hold. If we do not receive a reply on or before Dec. 23, 2021, 05:12:09 AM, your request will be closed.
