I refer to my letter of Aug 17, 2022 02:44:44 PM about your request under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch, for Income Tax Return (ITR).

In order for us to work further on your request, we need more information from you regarding your query. You have indicated in your request that you require a copy of your ITR for Taxable Period/s March 1, 2006 to August 17, 2022. For verification and clarification, kindly provide additional information on the following:

1. Did you have a registered business between the period/s March 1, 2006 to August 17, 2022? Or were you an individual earning on purely compensation income from the period/s March 1, 2006 to August 17, 2022?

2.  If employed, kindly provide the name of your employer and registered address of your Employer for the period/s March 1, 2006 to August 17, 2022?

3. Withstanding your answer to the first and second query, did you file an ITR for the cited period?

Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated Aug 17, 2022 02:44:44 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

Your Request

You asked for Income tax return.

Response to Request

Based on the reason stated below, we resolve to deny your request as to the following information:   Copy of your ITR for the year 2011-2012.

This Office does not have the information you have requested (ITR) since it was only starting 2015 when the employers were required to furnish the BIR with scanned copies of BIR Form No. 2316.  Your employer was not required to submit copies of 2316 certificates during the period requested. 

After careful consideration, since your TIN and name is included in the Alphalist of Employees filed by your employer for the year 2012, we resolve to grant your request but only up to the compensation and withholding tax information found therein.  A certification was made on the information gathered for your purpose, a scanned copy of which was sent thru email.

For the year 2011, however, we regret to inform you that a certification cannot be made since your name and TIN is not included in the Alphalist of Employees filed by your employer during the period.

For your guidance, please refer to the Revised People's Freedom of Information Manual for the Bureau of Internal Revenue, which is available for download at the Bureau's Official Website or www.bir.gov.ph.
