Dear Ms. Figuerra:

I refer to my letter of Jul 07, 2023 06:30:56 PM about your request under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch, for Total Number of Registered Accounting Firms in Lucena City.

In reply, please be informed of the following pursuant to Section 21.2 and 21.3 (d) of Chapter VII-Standard Procedure for efOI Request:

Section 21.2 - the purpose of the request for information shall be specific or adequately and sufficiently described. General averments of the purpose such as for information, research or legal purposes or other similarly worded purposes shall not be considered to have met the requirements of specificity.

Failure to specify the reasons for or purpose of the request for information shall be a ground for denial of the eFOI Request.

Section 21.3 (d) - If the requesting party is a natural person who is a member employee, affiliated with or related to a juridical entity, company or organization and the request is made not in behalf of such juridical entity, company or organization but arises from such membership, affiliation or relation, such other sufficient proof of authority or affiliation.

In this regard, you have to attach scanned copies of the valid school I.D. and written indorsement of the supervising teacher/professor/instructor.

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance this Office does not have the information you have requested because the information we gather and include in the registration of each taxpayer is its line of business and its Philippine Standard Industry Code for the classification standards of goods and/ or services for sale. Hence, we regret to inform you that we do not have the data on the total number of accounting firms registered under our jurisdiction.
