To whom it may concern,

I would like to request a copy of my latest 2023 Income Tax Return received by BIR. I have requested a copy from my previous employer but there is no proof of receipt. Hope you can help me on this.

Thank you for your request dated Jan 08, 2024 under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

Response to your request

In reply, please be informed that should you need a BIR-stamped ‘Received’ copy of your BIR Form No. 2316, this may be requested from the BIR Revenue District Office (RDO) WHERE YOUR EMPLOYER IS REGISTERED, through submission of a request form (available at the RDO) accompanied by your Employer’s Certification of inclusion in the List of Employees Qualified for Substituted Filing. 

The RDO gets a hold of the Employer's Certification together with the scanned copies of BIR Form No. 2316 of all their employees upon submission of your employer to the RDO on February 28, 2024.
