A blessed day to you. I am [Redacted][Name], [Redacted][Age], TIN [Redacted][Number], currently employed in the Department of Education Division of Cagayan de oro city since September 2018.I would like to request my income tax return for the period 2018 to 2021.

Dear Ms. Marcial,

I refer to my letter of Jan 19, 2022 09:46:15 AM about your request under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch, for Income tax returns.

In order for us to properly endorse and work further on your request, we need more information from you regarding your query. If you are asking for ITR, kindly provide us with the following details (from 2018-2020)and email them at ana.marie.du@bir.gov.ph. as this contains sensitive information
-What ITR form did you file? 
-Where did you file your ITR, what RDO are you registered with?
-Tax Return Confirmation Receipt (if your ITR were filed online) 

Please be informed that the ITRs that we have in our files are those returns that were filed and paid over-the-counter through our various Accredited Agent Banks; however, for no-payment returns that were filed through our eBIRforms and EFPS system, we do not have the hard copies of these returns on file. Furthermore, ITR for 2021 is yet to be filed on or before April 15,hence, we can not provide you the same.

However, we would also like to suggest that if you know where you filed your ITR, you may directly request it to the concerned RDO, bring the duplicate/xerox copy with you for they may also need to validate and determine if you are the rightful owner of the documents requested as these are sensitive information and are bound by the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and Sec 270 of the NIRC. 

During the period of us awaiting your reply, your request will be put on hold. If we do not receive a reply on or before Apr 13, 2022 04:45:09 AM, your request will be closed.
