Per our phone conversation this morning, you were informed that your request for the said certificates of withholding taxes for calendar year 2013 to 2014 cannot be granted by the concerned office since the aforesaid certificates were issued in 2013 to 2014 and office records on those periods are already unavailable since we follow strictly the five (5) year retention period based on existing revenue issuances of the BIR.

We will be forwarding your request for BIR Form 2316 from Calendar Year 2015 to 2019 to Regular LT Audit Division III where Accenture Inc. is registered.

As to your other request, please be advised that BIR Form 2316 is considered as your Annual Income Tax Return since you are earning purely compensation income. Your Employer/s (Vertere Solutions and Sunlife) are supposed to provide you with this form “Na Dapat Po Ibibigay Ito Sa Mga Empleyado” every year before January of the following year.

Please take note that for the year 2021 you are supposed to file the Annual Income Tax Return (ITR) since you have two (2) Employers , you are likewise have to file your Annual ITR using BIR Form 1700 through eBIR Forms (Apps downloadable at the BIR website, www.bir.gov.ph), attached and consolidate your 2316 from your companies.

You asked for BIR 2316.

Response to Request

After careful consideration, we resolve to grant your requested information for the year 2015.  A copy of which was sent to the email address you provided.

Based on the reason stated below, we resolve to deny your request as to the following information:   Copy of your ITR for the year 2016-2019.

CY 2016
We regret to inform you that your request cannot be processed because your employer failed to submit a CD of scanned copies of Certificate of Compensation Payment/Tax Withheld (BIR Form 2316) for the year 2016.

CY 2017
This Office does not have the information you have requested (ITR) since your employer failed to include your BIR Form 2316 in the CD submitted for the year 2017.

CY 2018
We regret to inform you that your request cannot be processed because the submitted CD of scanned copies of Certificate of Compensation Payment/Tax Withheld (BIR Form 2316) by your employer for the year 2018 is defective/unreadable.

CY 2019
This Office does not have the information you have requested (ITR) since your employer failed to include your BIR Form 2316 in the CD submitted for the year 2015-2019.  

After careful consideration, however, since your TIN and name is included in the Alphalist of Employees by your employer for the year 2016-2019, we resolve to grant your request but only up to the compensation and withholding tax information found therein.  A certification was made on the information gathered for your purpose, a copy of which was sent to your email.
