I would like to request your good office for a Certified True Copy of my ITR filed for the Calendar Year 2017 to 2022. The said copy will be used for Visa Application.

Dear Mr. Lopez

I refer to my letter of Sep 29, 2023 08:29:13 PM about your request under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch, for Income Tax Return and/or BIR Form No. 2316.

In reply, we verified your registration status with the BIR system and you are registered as local employee, as such, please be informed that BIR Form No. 1700 is the Income Tax Return filed by a Local Employee Who Did Not Qualify under the Substituted Filing. 

Whereas, BIR Form No. 2316 (Certificate of Compensation Payment/Tax Withheld for Compensation Payment With or Without Tax Withheld) is a Certificate to be accomplished and issued by employers to each of his/her employee receiving salaries, wages and other forms or remuneration on or before January 31 of the succeeding year in which the compensation was paid. The Form should indicate the total amount of compensation and the taxes withheld therefrom during the calendar year. In cases where there is termination of employment, the Form is issued on the same day that the last payment of salaries is made.

Kindly clarify what kind of Income Tax Return are you referring to. 

The Certified True Copy (CTC) for BIR Form No. 2316 shall be made at the Revenue District Office (RDO) where your employers during the CY 2017 to 2022 is/are registered.
