In line with the foregoing, due to section 270 of NIRC of the 1997, as amended, BIR personnel cannot divulge information of taxpayers concerning the latter’s business. and the Data Privacy Act of 2012 clearly provides the data of an individual or business shall never be collected, processed, or given without his or her consent, unless otherwise provided by the law.
